Talk:Three Cliffs

Ok... used OpenOffice and wiki export to do this page pretty painlessly. Thing is... 1st ascentionists are as they are in the guidebook, i.e. after each climb. This is going to be a huge job to enter them at the bottom and also to maintain them when the page is updated. If anyone fancies moving them... be my guest!

Also the pages is too big. We can split it up when we want...--Tim Hoddy 16:34, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Good work. True enough but the climbs all need to be checked verified if possible and line drawings so maybe some sort of coding, font colour to differentiate between straight copy from guidebook text and checked pages?--Alan rosier 21:05, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm more or less doing a straight copy from the guidebook on nearly all my Gower edits. I'm only changing the text when there are obvious errors. I just want to get stuff on there for now and when we stimulate enough interest amongst other members/climbers, we can open it up and then allow editing by others. I neither have the time (nor the knee) to check all these routes!  ;-) We should "adverstise" again on the BB for those with graphics skills. Line drawings etc. I've taken some (poor) photos. However I don't have a decent camera and they'll just have to do for a while. Also, it would be nice if we had some decent "action shots" for Gower. Will nag the Wednesday Nighters to take their cameras! --Tim Hoddy 11:26, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Vanishing Crag

Pobbles quarry seems to have gone from the wikki pages. Is this because "the lady loves milf lay" or some re writing is in progress.--Roy thomas (talk) 13:25, 13 July 2013 (BST)

It's still there Roy!

Try Pobbles_Quarries --Tim Hoddy (talk) 13:33, 13 July 2013 (BST) Just about to say I've found it with a click on from the bulletin board. Thanks Tim..What's all the fuss about this little place, whose digging up last year's news??--Roy thomas (talk) 14:43, 13 July 2013 (BST)

Sara doesn't like what you've put on the Pobbles Quarries page, Access Section. If she thinks you should change it, I think she should discuss it with you first. --Tim Hoddy (talk) 15:34, 13 July 2013 (BST)
Not aware of anything offensive or cntrfercial in the Access but will read it again. If this is connected with the choreographed bulletin board posts of the "bland of four" it might have been easier just to ask if it didn't suit their version.--Roy thomas (talk) 16:15, 13 July 2013 (BST)

Oops sorry. I should have said that it's the Bolting Policy section that she wants changed. She should discuss it with you... that's what the Wiki is for! --Tim Hoddy (talk) 16:20, 13 July 2013 (BST) Well well this is fun double oops I've just tuned/improved the afore mench Access section to include more Facts. Will review the bolting policy now.--Roy thomas (talk) 16:34, 13 July 2013 (BST) Triple oops already done the Bolting Policy but interesting point here .Who has final editorial decisions.Similar situation to the owner of very large news paper corporation interfering and changing/banning a report that doesn't suit them or offends their mates --Roy thomas (talk) 16:43, 13 July 2013 (BST)

I don't think anyone has the final editorial say-so. Things seem to be working fine as-is. --Tim Hoddy (talk) 19:36, 13 July 2013 (BST)

Piton Route - Fell Down

Now pointless...

13a. Piton Route - 16m HS,4b Missing in recent guidebooks. Climb the left side of the lower slab to the upper left section below the overhang where it is split by a crack above. Climb the overhang and follow the crack in the wall above to a ledge.
