I've removed the page to Tor Gro. It's pretty much out of character with the rest of the crags in here... --Tim Hoddy 21:11, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Eh? I thought it was good personally, I was even thinking of going there if visitors came down for the weekend. Re-think?--Alan rosier 21:57, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Ok... if you like it we'll put it back in. --82.7.192.163 21:07, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

RE the structure of the wiki- doe it have to be so heirarchical. I would like the gower bouldering pages to be reachable via gower or bouldering. Likewise other stuff I suspect.--Chris Wyatt 22:29, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

I set the structure up like this in the absence of any discussion about structure. The structure is pretty similar to the current guide. We can build from this, but we need some discussion first. What sort of structure do we want? --Tim Hoddy 22:53, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

I think the Gower contents page should not list crags in alphabetical order, but in order of position on Gower. i.e. Tor Gro --> Barland (as in the guidebook). Thoughts anyone ? --Tim Hoddy 15:35, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi Tim,

Being local i think i can say pretty much that any visitor is likely to be confused by gower however we list it. I recon the guidebook format is working i.e. Port eynon Section, then sub divided into crags like boiler slabs etc. The best bet is to use a map with block areas (under Gower page)and then the google map crag location for individual crags (under sections). how does that sound?--Alan rosier 19:10, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Looks like you are on the case with this one Tim, I shall keep well out of it until you are finished.--Alan rosier 09:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

I think we can do overlays onto Google Maps and we could "block" the relevant sections on the main Gower map. Will look into this. --Tim Hoddy 13:34, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

OK, I'm trying to block the crags by area here. I have assigned titles for blocks of areas - obvious from the 1:50,000 map of the area - for clarity only. I am starting the eastern end but clearly some of these areas already have pages. How do you think this will fit? --Alan rosier 20:57, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Only one way to find out - try it. I like the idea of blocking it tbh but access areas should also be considered. --Del 23:08, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

The Gower contents page now is very confusing. The crags are not even listed in order. What's with the Southgate Sea Cliffs? --81.103.57.2 20:05, 4 February 2010 (UTC) (aka Tim)
Also, there is absolutely no worthwhile climbing in the whole of Port Eynon Bay yet we have a dead-link to a page for it. True, there is Oxwich Point, which strictly might be Port Eynon Bay, but it'd be more useful to include that under Oxwich.
I really don't think that it is a good idea to list Crags/Areas from East to West. It's very confusing and, at the moment, the new divisions seem arbitrary and without purpose. --Tim Hoddy 20:23, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

CORRECTIONS

I was out on Upper Jacky's on Sunday. There is an error in the description for Thanksgiving. This is also on the Wiki.

The current description is: "Start at a groove 3m right of the detached pinnacle. Climb the groove leftwards..........."

It should be: "Start at a groove 3m right of Codpiece. Climb the groove leftwards.........."

Hope this makes sense, let me know if you are unsure.

Cheers Ian
