Some info from Wikipedia on Geotagging

GeoTagging photos is easy.

  1. Synchronise your camera's time with your GPS. (N.B. Ensure your GPS has got acquisition)
  2. Go for a walk with your camera and GPS. Set your GPS to record its tracklog and, with your camera, take photos.
  3. Back home, export your track log from your GPS to your computer. (Not necessary if you use Geotag.
  4. If necessary, convert your tracklog to a format suitable for use in photo-tracklog correlation software. (e.g.GPSBabel)
  5. Transfer your new photos to your computer.
  6. Using software (e.g. Geotag) correlate your photos with your tracklog.
